The Horizon Scotland Team

Horizon Scotland has been ranked as one of the best new developments of its kind in the UK. It has been placed amongst the top four new business incubators nationally by UK Business Incubation (UKBI). UKBI is the lead body for business incubation in the UK, and every year makes awards to mark high standards in the field.

Horizon Scotland reached the final four in 2006’s Newcomer Business Incubator Award, along with a centre in Reading and two in Wales, one of which was the overall winner.

Horizon Scotland’s achievement was warmly praised by UKBI’s Chief Executive, Malcolm Buckler. “The centre has clearly demonstrated a commitment to business incubation and ultimately in supporting its clients as they develop and grow into businesses,” he said. “Horizon Scotland offers a tremendous service to its clients and should be viewed as a great example to others working with start-up businesses and entrepreneurs.”

Horizon Scotland, which shortly celebrates its third birthday, was established by HIE Moray, the local enterprise company, to provide a home for innovative companies. It has attracted a wide range of developments and most of its space is now committed.
